I shaved my head, and when I use water, it isn't noticeable. But use denorex and leave it on there a while and i have bright red patches all over my scalp. I think it is because these products are intended to remove the flakes without regards to solving the problem that is creating them in the first place. Just apply twice a week and it works like a charm. I had really bad dry scalp I think my shampoo was the cause of that. (Infusium 23) I also heard that trying organic shampoo does the trick.
