He bought a pair of Nike shoes once which caused blisters and sores on his feet when running, so he wrote to Nike telling them (in short terms) that the shoes were crap. So they sent him a brouchure and told him he could choose any pair of running shoes he wanted, free of charge. Same thing happened with a sony MP3 player he had... As with complaining when you get dodgy products from the supermarket - by all means! It helps out the company with their Q&A and in the end everybody wins! Always call in if you get one of those fees. Also if you are in a finacial bind and late on your card payments (60 or more days) you can usually get them to waive the fees (even some interest) if you promise to make a payment.
