		<description>Keep in mind that the IRS does not treat bartering as any different that receiving cash.  Therefore, if you are paid in kind you should be factoring in the taxes you should pay on that.  The person who receives a year's worth of haircuts for creating a web page, for example, should be prepared to pay the taxes on whatever monetary value those haircuts represent.  Most barter exchangers simply fail to include that value on their taxes, which makes the transaction a more "valuable" transaction because it was tax free.  It also makes that person guilty of tax evasion.
