I was a little put off by her reluctance to reccomend Roth IRAs. Roths are GREAT savings vehicles for young people. While the nature of an IRA is a retirement account, the Roth allows you so much flexibility that it's a great tool. The fact that you can cash out interest earned for things like house down payments etc., makes the Roth a good option in my book. And why in the world would she reccomend CDs when GE Interest Plus, ING, and other non brick and mortar online banking options
