I won't be filing this year since I earned no money and received no unemployment benefits. However, is there any way to recover some of the expenses I would normally deduct, such as those related to job-seeking travel, professional tax preparation, student loan interest, etc? Thanks.

This is my first year as a homeowner. We recently got our tax assessment in the mail and our 2 bedroom suburban cond went from CDN$179000 to $218,000 this year! Do you have any experience in re-negotiating property tax assesmants?
