Cooking for my sweetie has long been a tradition of mine on Valentine’s Day. It’s very romantic, and some women find it sexy to have a man cook for them…as they say in Italy, “what else does a man put in your body?”
On our first Valentine’s Day together, I made cioppino (Italian seafood stew with fish, mussels, porcini, tomatoes, clam juice, white wine, basil, onion, garlic, etc.) for my girlfriend, and she’s asked for it every Valentine’s Day since then. Not a cheap eat, but Valentine’s Day is a day for splurging as far as I’m concerned.
