Thanks for thelink to the article on the car emergency kit. It’s always a good idea to be prepared.

The Red Cross sells emergency kits in lots of configurations, for varying numbers of people and situations. It’s a great option for those of us who tend to worry about emergency preparedness but don’t get it together to assemble our own kits.

Several months ago I acted on my emergency-preparedness anxieties at home by buying a 4-person, 3-day emergency kit at the local Red Cross. It puts all the bare-bones essentials, including food and water and entertainments (a deck of cards, a coloring book and crayons) in one heavy red backpack. Set me back maybe over $100, but gave me a lot of peace of mind about having some supplies in case of an earthquake.

I would like to suggest http://www.investeverymonth.com

It is a group investment blog where people can log-in and post information, comments, questions, etc… about investing.

Good motivation to read investment blogs on a daily or weekly basis to learn new things and to be motivated/reminded to plan and execute our investment plans.
