Push him out of the nest and let him fly on his own, now. Others must be supporting him in his self-destructive behavior or he couldn't survive. It's tough love but it is in his best interest and the sooner it is done, the easier it will be for him to adjust. Heaven forbid he end up living in your basement and eating your dinner when he is fifty. There seems to be only one solution… Push him out of the nest and let him fly on his own, now. This is something I worry about because my brother is 23 and doesn't work or go to school at the moment (no medical). If anything ever happens to him, he could get hit with a big debt, and I don't want him to be a liability for me later in life. This is scary.
