In fact, after several years of using CNN as my default news page, I'm looking for a replacement because of CNN's increasing reliance on video reports instead of text. From a dozen major headlines, at least 4 usually link to videos — which means that if the headline looks interesting, I have to go elsewhere for details. I think online videos tend to be gratuitous, and I don't watch them. I didn't watch Michael's. Just offered as a data point... I don’t like online videos.
