Yes, it’s true: all around the world, comic book stores are giving away free comics. These are all mags printed for this giveaway. And, of course, it’s a ploy to get you in the stores. But still: FREE COMICS!
I wasn’t into comic books either, but I think that is because I wasn’t exposed to them. People that have been exposed tend to find them addicting. Have you seen how much money people are willing to spend on them? Unbelievable! I think this is a great site that you have shared with us. Thanks!
Yeah. We stopped in at our local comic shop at 10:30, by which time you’d THINK they’d be open, right? Especially since they were hanging out bright plastic flags on the sidewalk in front. But no. When we went in, the owner told us they weren’t open until 11 (11? What kind of business doesn’t open until 11 on a Saturday? What kind of comic shop doesn’t open until 11 on Free Comic Book Day?) and that he wasn’t “mad or nuttin’” but that we couldn’t come in and shop. So we didn’t. And we won’t make the mistake of trying to shop there again, either.

Dude, you need to make something graphically special of your links section! You always have really good links, but they’re soooooo easy to overlook. A favorite blog that does this well is http://www.landliving.com/ they have a clippings section that’s always the second or third post. It would help your site. Hope you don’t mind the advice.

I was never really into comic books as a kid, for some reason.
