The answer to the question is to invest in a low-cost index fund and keep it there for the long term!
(maybe it’s best to find a low-load no minimum balance one while you search for one)

Hehehe. *snatches* That’s exactly how I felt last year when I started full time work. All that money… After having lived for 4 years as a starving student, I suddenly had this huge surplus as I had gotten used to a low living expense.
