Zaphod passed along an old John Sutherland propaganda film extolling the virtues of capitalism and the evils of socialism. It’s my patriotic duty to post it today.
This is more about politics and economics than personal finance, and it vastly oversimplifies things (it is propaganda, after all), but it’s fun to watch from an historical perspective.
But wait! That’s not all! From 1940, here’s a short film called Your Town: A Story of America.
This film contains less anti-socialist rhetoric, but it lauds capitalism even more loudly than the first!
Have a safe and happy Independence Day. I’ll see you on Thursday!

Nice old clips, kind of surprised you found these in youtube considering it is targeted toward the younger “hip” generations.

Love the videos, JD! Not to steal your board, but I’m having some issues with my 401K and I’m looking for some advice. Anyone got a second to read my post? I screwed up my investment mix. Pretty bad

Oh, and AFB, hip is all about irony, and these are fantastically ironic, therefore actually perfect for YouTube.

I did not view these yet but I remember another good cartoon with an average Joe being enticed by a communist.
