rkt88edmo is right!

Not only is a neti pot the best way to clear out infections, it also helps save money.

I used to get respitory infections every two or three months which meant going to the doc, paying a co pay, paying for meds, losing work time, and only to get sick again! But not only has the neti pot helped me get better, it has also kept my wallet healthier too! =)

Got mine at Walgreens too

JD, have you tried a neti pot?

I used to get hit by a bad sinus infection twice a year, usually once in the fall and once int he spring.

Now, as soon as I can tell one is developing, or if I show any signs of post nasal drip I just flush out the cavities with some warm saline solution and it nips it in the bud.

Without all the mucous in there the infection clears right up. I didn’t buy anything fancy, just a plastic cheapy I found at Walgreen’s.

I’ve had a sinus infection all week too….it is a real PITA!!!! I got on a Z-pack & some sudafed & it is feeling better now….

Did you notice that Mucinex is the only FDA approved drug for time release head cold medicine?

The lack of testing/approval for the other drugs gives a monopoly to Mucinex and the parent company Adams Respiratory Therapeutics.

The idea of playing it with real money is an interesting one, esp. as one could simply decimalize it up or down to whatever actual cash level was desired.

The only lesson I learned from Monopoly was my father’s approach to property-buying, which he and I apply to stocks. Buy it and hold it long-term, and only sell if someone is desperate enough for it to pay a rich premium.

In Rita Mae Brown’s novel Six of One, set in the Great Depression, several of the characters play a celebrated game of Monopoly with real money. Each player put in money for the bank as well as the standard amount to start and each walked away with whatever money they had at the end of the game.

Puts a new face on the game, eh?
