It's interesting to me that some bloggers can receive enough income to live off it alone, though. You'll force yourself into speaking (it's not so bad with their support) and then when it's time for you to consult/be a speaker/teach a class, you will be ready to present yourself. In my business I receive a lot of international visitors, and the one thing they appreciate most is that every time they come to visit us they deal with the same people. This makes it easier to handle day to day problems as you know each other, and also to build up a stack of favors to call in. Turnover in our industry is quite high, but luckily we are able to keep our staff content. My own goal is to make myself redundant ; and retire into a life of pushing bits instead of pushing paper.
