For the past year, I’ve maintained a list of the best online high-yield savings accounts. (I just updated that article with several new banks and with current rates, by the way.)

Active participants in that thread — which now has over 550 reviews of various banks — have been asking for a place where they can exchange referral links. I’m not opposed to this, but I don’t want it to clutter up actual discussions. Based on a reader suggestion, I’ve created this new thread to facilitate the process.

ING Direct
For example, ING Direct remains a popular choice for those opening a new online savings account. It doesn’t offer the highest rates, but it has a reputation for excellent customer service. (I use ING Direct for my own savings account.)

Currently, ING Direct is offering a promotion that gives new users a $25 bonus when they’re referred by an existing member. (The person who issues the referral gets a $10 bonus.) In order for both parties to receive the bonus, the new member must open an account with $250. (If you don’t plan to open an ING account with at least $250, then please use this link instead.)

Referral swapping
I’ve been deleting referral requests and offers in other threads at Get Rich Slowly because they clutter the comments, detracting from the discussion. This page is meant to fill the void.

Likewise, if you’re looking for a referral code to a particular program — and it doesn’t just have to be for banks — then please use this page to find it. I think it’s great that people want to help each other save and make money — I just want a specific place for it.
