It’s Memorial Day in the United States, a national holiday to commemorate those who died in military service to our country. Many Americans also view Memorial Day as a sort of unofficial “beginning of summer”. It’s a time to enjoy the company of family and friends.

I’m taking off today — as I did the entire weekend, actually — as a rare holiday from blogging. In a couple hours, I’ll be running my first-ever 10k race with my good friend, Mac. I’ll post a race report at my fitness blog later this morning.

Get Rich Slowly will return on Tuesday. The posting schedule will be light this week.

Good luck on your race. I ran my first 10k about a month ago. I was in run condition class in college. I actually enjoyed it. I finished in 55 mins, tell me how you did!

Sometimes we all need a break from blogging.
Personally I am trying to get at least one month ahead of blogging in my financial blog.
I post 4 times/week so if I can get ahead about 16-20 posts then I can take a month’s holiday from blogging and still keep my blog up and running.
This is my strategy, lets see how it goes.
    Enjoy your holiday

I hope you had a great memorial day and a good 10K race. I am going to run in a 5K later this summer that I am tryin to train for. Wish me Luck :)
