Last Monday I teamed up with Jim from Bargaineering to bring you the first episode of The Personal Finance Hour, our weekly BlogTalkRadio program all about money management. We had fun with this live podcast, and it was great to interact with listeners via chat and on the phone.
Tune in Monday, March 30th, at 3pm Pacific (6pm Eastern) for another rousing edition of The Personal Finance Hour. Our topic this week is emergency funds: how we’ve built them, and how we use them.
There are two ways to hear the show. You can listen through an audio feed at the show page, or you can dial the call-in number at (347) 327-9144. The online feed will be slightly delayed, but the telephone audio will be live. (If I can figure out how, I’ll post the show “widget” here so that you can listen to it at GRS.)
Jim and I intend to do this every Monday — possibly with guests! — and we hope you’ll join us. We think this will be a fun way to connect with readers and to help everyone learn more about money management. We had a great start last week, and believe we’ll get even better with time.

Looking forward to the show, and particularly this week’s topic!

J.D.,
Really enjoyed last weeks show and am looking forward to this week!
One tip… can you give out the topics of the show maybe a little earlier next time? That way maybe people have a little more time to come up with questions and/or e-mail you ahead of time with topic-related questions.
Just a thought, but talk to you guys tonight!

Hi,
I’m currently listening to episode#1 and am really enjoying it. Looking forward to many more episodes.
One thing that bugs me: can the episodes be more clearly labelled in the feed? The design of the show page is really confusing and the episodes don’t seem to have descriptive or distinct names. It’s only going to get worse as you put out more episodes.
Thanks again,
Kent

Thanks so much for the information. I actually have a resource that you might also find interesting. CheckingFinder.com is offering a limited time offer of a trial membership to Dave Ramsey’s MyTotalMoneyMakeover.com (Renown Personal Finance Advisor) for every person who submits an application.

Any chance this is going to be available in iTunes? When I click the iTunes link it says it’s not available in the U.S. store. (I can’t listen to it on my computer, or during the live show…)

Great show last week! Just have one request… Is there anyway some volume balancing could be done somehow? Callers were about 30% louder than you guys so I was constantly volume fiddling to try and hear, and then to save my eardrums!
PS.. I know you guys are working things out so please don’t take as a criticism. Still enjoyed the show.
