I know this is late going up, but I’ve been running errands all morning (many of which were money-related). In just a few minutes, you can
join us for the fourth episode of The Personal Finance Hour, a BlogTalkRadio program all about personal finance. I’ll be co-hosting the show with Jim from Bargaineering at 3pm Pacific (6pm Eastern).
During this fourth episode, Jim and I will be discussing couples and finances. Do you keep separate finances? Have joint finances? Do you and your partner fight about money? How do you keep the peace? All this and more on today’s edition of The Personal Finance Hour.
We encourage you to call with your comments or questions.
There are three ways to hear the show. You can listen through an audio feed at the show page, or you can dial the call-in number at (347) 327-9144. You can also listen through this widget:
Note that the widget always holds the archive of the most recent episode. So, right now it contains last week’s episode. This afternoon, it will contain episode number four.
Jim and I intend to do this every Monday — possibly with guests! — and we hope you’ll join us. We think this will be a fun way to connect with readers and to help everyone learn more about money management. Our second show was even better than the first, and we think we’ll continue to improve in time.
Update! Jim tells me that we’re now on iTunes! You can subscribe to The Personal Finance Hour as a weekly podcast by following this link (which will open iTunes).

I like your logo/picture. It reminds me of FDR’s fireside chats. (Not that I liked FDR; I just like the old-fashioned appearance.)

It’s good to see you dealing with the issues that come up when joining two (often distinctly) different financial backgrounds.

I am so bummed I always miss this! Any chance you may do another day/time?
It is great to hear them the day after though, thanks for posting it!
Couples finances are interesting, I have more to say but I may save it for a blog post!

The podcast was really great! Wish I could have called in to the show! JD you really have a natural radio voice; great job man.
I really enjoyed the journey that both of you two shared about the in’s and out’s of marriage finances and was enlightened to hear that you and Kris keep separate accounts.
The part where you discuss ownership of 3/4 cats was hilarious. Now if only I could convince my fiance that I would like to only pay for 1/x amount of children. No dice I’m sure.
Anyways, great podcast! Thanks and can’t wait until the next show.

I just went through a PF Hour marathon and it’s great to hear the progression in your podcasts. I definitely agree with you that hearing real people’s situations is a lot more interesting than theory. Keep it up!
