Sweepstakes: What is your New Year’s savings resolution?
Published on - January 7th, 2013 (by Ellen Cannon) The Get Rich Slowly community is a savvy one, and we know you like to save money, find unexpected money and make good investments. But most of all, we know you like to voice your thoughts!
To help you keep your savings resolution for the New Year, we’re running a sweepstakes on our Facebook page. All you have to do is “Like” the page, fill out a form and tell us what your savings resolution is for 2013. Paying off that last credit card balance? Saving for a first home? Tucking away more money for children’s education? Whatever your goal is, we want to hear about it.
The sweepstakes will run on Facebook until January 21, 2013, and we’ll announce the winners on GetRichSlowly.org on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Six entrants will be chosen at random and will win a $50 gift card. Use that $50 to kick-start your savings resolution!
You can use that $50 to pay for some groceries or gas or another need and then use that $50 to add to your savings account, open a CD or pay more on your credit card bill.
So don’t miss out. Head over to the GetRichSlowly Facebook page and tell us what savings goal you have for 2013. Good luck!

Hi Dianne, we try to connect with our readers on a variety of platforms — here on the site, on Facebook, on Twitter. We have done three video contests on the site over the past few years.
