Official Rules
Introduction: www.getrichslowly.org ("Sponsor") is offering an online video contest (the "Contest").
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. CONTEST VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

Eligibility: Contestants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry, and legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law or regulation. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Any entries not eligible for any reason will be disqualified from winning any award or prize and ineligible entries may be deleted from the www.getrichslowly.org. Any entry that is awarded a prize and is later determined to have been ineligible, will be required to return any prize of monetary or material value within 7 days upon notification of disqualification and ineligibility. Employees of GetRichSlowly.org and its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, agents, and their immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents), and all those with whom such employees are domiciled, are NOT eligible to participate in the Contest.

Entry Requirements: To enter the contest, visit http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/videocontest/2010 and submit an online video no longer than 2 minutes.There are two categories in which you may submit videos: 1) Personal Finance Tips and 2) Success Stories. To enter your video in the Personal Finance Tips category, tag your video with the word "Tip". To enter your video in the Success Stories category, tag your video with the word "Story". Do not tag your video with both tags.

You may submit up to one (1) video in each category above, for a limit of two (2) videos total.

If you have a website you'd like featured at Get Rich Slowly, you may also compete for the Website Award by tagging your video with the word "Website" and your site's URL. Doing so will automatically put your video in consideration for this award. Any or all of your videos may be tagged for the Website Award consideration.

All video submissions must be between 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time ("PST") on March 15, 2010, and 11:59:59 p.m. PST on April 15, 2010 (the "Entry Period").

Entries must be submitted in English. The contestant certifies that (a) he or she owns the materials submitted to www.getrichslowly.org for the Contest and that such materials are the contestant's original creation, created solely by the contestant, without any restrictions or limitations on the contestant's right to submit or Sponsor's right to use the entry; (b) by entering into the Contest, the contestant is not contravening any provisions of the Copyright Act, including the educational fair use provision; (c) the entry does not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's personal or proprietary rights; and (d) the entry is not offensive, obscene or inappropriate in any way.

Entries may not have previously won an award from Sponsor. All entries will be reviewed by Sponsor and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and choose not to display any entry it deems to be inappropriate, offensive or is not in keeping with Sponsor's image, in its sole discretion.

Once a contestant has submitted a video for the Contest, such contestant agrees that Sponsor shall own the entry submitted (including all rights embodied therein) and that Sponsor and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, display and distribute the entry and all elements of such entry, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, in any and all media now known or not currently known, throughout the world in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.

Judging: Judging criteria for all prizes will include creativity, originality, usefulness to viewers, and compelling stories. Views and ratings on video entries may also be taken into consideration. Grand Prize Winners and Honorable Mentions will be selected by JD Roth. The winners will be selected on or about May 1, 2010. Sponsor reserves the right not to award a prize in the event it receives an insufficient number of eligible entries that meet the minimum judging criteria, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor will supervise the voting and judging. Contestants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, whose decisions are final.

Winner Notification: The Contest winner will be announced on May 1, 2010. The winner will be notified via their YouTube account. Potential winners must respond to their notification within 7 days of receipt or they will be disqualified. Potential winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release within 14 days of issuance of notification or they will be disqualified. Noncompliance with the foregoing, these official rules, Sponsor's inability to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or prize notification returned as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification and, at Sponsor's discretion, a runner-up may be notified.

By accepting any prize, the winner grants Sponsor and its designees the right to use his/her name, city and state of residence, likeness and biographical information in any and all media for any purposes throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notice or permission, unless prohibited by law. If a winner requests confidentiality, only a first name and state will be provided.

Prizes: The 2 Grand Prize winners (Personal Finance Tip and Success Story) and the Website Award winner will win an autographed copy of J.D. Roth's book, Your Money: The Missing Manual, and as well as a $500 cash prize. 10 finalists in each of the two categories will receive an autographed copy of Your Money: The Missing Manual. The Website Award winner will have his / her website featured at GetRichSlowly. All federal, state and local taxes and any other costs and expenses not specifically stated herein as being awarded are the winners' sole responsibility. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize except by Sponsor who may substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value, at its sole discretion. All prize details are at the sole discretion of Sponsor.

Limitation of Liability: Sponsor and its affiliates will not be responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries; or entries that are lost due to computer, Internet, or electronic malfunction. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest and award the prize through an alternate means if fraud or technical failure compromises the integrity of the contest, as determined by it in its sole discretion. Contestants agree that Sponsor, its promotion partners, affiliates, agencies, and their respective employees or officers shall not be liable for injury, losses, damages, or costs of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest or acceptance of or use or misuse of a prize or parts thereof. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered.

Governing Law; Venue: This Contest will be governed by the laws of the State of California without reference to its choice of law principles. The contestants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts located in San Mateo County in the State of California and the federal courts located in the Northern District of California, with respect to disputes hereunder.
