I'm not sure if we've done a thread like this lately. I think it was about a year ago and I found some list of the top 100 pf blogs. I checked out many of them and I came back to GRS in part b/c of a picture of JD where he was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt w/the hood up. You couldn't really see his fa...

So people feel that this is a market correction? That is my concern I guess. I'm wondering if this is just what happens every so often or if it's different this time (of course there are always differences but ykwim) Granted, I haven't been paying attention for many years so my frame of refernce is ...

I jumped into personal finance last year and felt pretty good about turning some things around. I had a plan and started working towards it. My goals had been to fund an EF, then start funding our Roths. Over and above that I would purchase some index funds, then buy and hold. After a lot of thought...

I don't think 3 iaccounts s excessive. After all, you have to have a B&M to link to ING so that's 2 accounts right there.

But the 6.25% seems too good to be true when I do't even know of any savings offering that.

Yes, DH stands for Dear Husband. Although before my DH knew this, he was reading over my shoulder when I was typing something unflattering and he assumed it meant far worse. LOL

I understand what you are saying. Our finances didn't start to turn around until my DH started taking a few side jobs. (his skills lent themselves to more $/hr than I could make that's why was the one to take on the extra work outside of the home) That allowed us to our heads above water. So someone...

I would take this class too. I would devote some class time to helping navigate an ethnic market. I go to the local asian market an can't read the labels and the owners don't speak English very well so I'm never quite sure if I'm buying what the recipe calls for. I'd pay $20 if you played up the sma...
