I used to be a night owl too, some things that have helped me - going to bed at a decent hour, avoiding big meals, caffeine and exercise late at night, leaving the computer off.

Seems to be pretty good - it has several tab-sheets, each with a different function. If I wasn’t already using moneyStrands, I would definitely tried this spreadsheet because it gives me pretty much all the functionality. My first personal budget I ever made was done using an Excel sheet. I have tri...

That's simple and useful. Right now I’m using online money management tool for budgeting. I have used many desktop products, but the benefits of using a online money management sites to aggregate all of my accounts in one view works well for me, even it sends out notices of bills due to prevent any ...

Gambling tends to be addictive... Regardless, if a person becomes addicted and loses most of his or her money, that affects the economy in various ways.

Getting out of your cell phone contract is tough game, phone reps are trained with limited information... they can do little but transfer you to the termination department. This makes it impossible for a client to get anything out of them.

+1 again... once you know your goals, you also need to know where you are now to find the best way to achieve your goals.

If you are planning to work alone and do not plan on having employees a sole propritorship is the way to go in my opinion. One disadvantage to this type of business structure is you are not protected from any potential liabilities such as a lawsuit. All the very best.

Try money management site like moneyStrands which helps analyze your spending pattern and provides budgeting help and also money saving recommendations. It has a mobile widget that gives you immediate access to all your financial data anytime. You can check balances and receive text alerts on-the-go.

I agree with snowballer, and as long as you are paying early and not late, you will be fine. So for a payment due on the 1st of August, paying half on July 15th and half on July 31st is fine.

I prefer unfurnished, you have to figure out how much the furniture would cost and how much your annual net might increase, then you can think on how long it will take to payoff the furniture. I’d just keep renting unfurnished but you need to do your homework and see what works best for you. And tha...

That's a good plan DebtFreeCrusader. I agree its' little risky for an Emergency fund. If you’re doing this with your emergency fund, you can set it up so that you always have a month’s worth of living expenses available in cash and each of the CDs represents a month’s worth of living expenses.

We would want to minimize our spending and even though it might be difficult, we should attempt to save money for the possibility of even tighter times ahead.
