Forum: General Discussion   Topic: Who cares about garbage in landfills?

kombat, I think there is at least one major point you have missed in your argument. I used to live relatively close to a landfill and there is a very big reason why you wouldn't want to live on top of it. Landfills are full of decomposing materials and these materials give off some pretty noxious ga...

darthdustin, Two points I would like to add to this discussion. First, while I don't have statistics to back this up, my experience is that once you get data services your voice usage will typically drop. Most people are just adding data services to their current voice plan. However, in the long ter...

I've been trying to think of reasons why I would use an iPad? The key question for me is what would I use it for that would be so much better than attempting to accomplish the same thing on another device. email: BlackBerry and laptop have this one covered. word processing: Better on the laptop spre...

tarun1337, In short, yes the original owners of the company get the shares for "free". You too can create your own business and you get all the "shares" for free. Of course, building enough value in the company to convince others that share in your company are worth something is ...

If you haven't heard of it, you can check it out at Petrofix.com. As far as I can tell, the business model does not generate a win-win situation for both the business and the customer. If gas prices average out lower than your starting price, then you end up paying more for your gas. If gas price av...

That does bring up an idea. Yes, I might be able to fold down the passenger seat backwards and slip the ladder through the trunk all the way through to the front seat. That may give me enough room to have enough of it inside the car. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hello all,

I would like to buy a new extension ladder from Home Depot but I don't have a pickup truck and neither do my friends. Home Depot charges $60 for delivery where I am. Anybody have a cheaper solution? My car is a Corolla and my wife drives an Aveo.

Thanks,

Mainstream media doesn't cover the story after the initial hype has died away. But just in case you are as interested as I am in details of the biggest bankruptcy filing in history:

Just thought I'd share how my wife and I currently setup our cell phones that we can economically talk over long distances using our mobile phones. We both have cell phones. My wife is on Rogers with a My5 Canada-wide plan. She sets one of her My5 numbers to my cell phone number. My cell phone is on...

JerichoHill, That's a great point about historical perspective. The 24/7 coverage of this "financial crisis" makes it appear like an apocalypse. However, putting it in historical perspective gives us a real reminder that we aren't even close to that yet. Having pundits and politicians comp...

kombat, This is a discussion that I'm very interested in and share some of your perspective. I would like to add two points to the discussion.
