We were given an elliptical. It should help me workout in between my runs . While they don’t give you exactly the same workout as running, an elliptical is an aerobic exercise machine. One benefit of th elliptical is that it prevents the impact trauma to your knees and other parts of your leg but st...

I ran 5 miles yesterday and burned 743 calories : At first I was amazed that in just one workout I had burned about 1/3 the average recommended caloric intake for the average person. But as I continued to walk home I started to think about how many calories are in a single fast food meal. When I go...

I need to loose weight, and follow a more strict diet !!! Sooner rather than later When I started writing this blog I realized that I was a few pounds over weight but I always believed that as I started to increase my workout distances, intensities, and frequencies that the weight would just shed of...

Still working hard to keep working. Or something along those lines. I wanted to keep at least a jog through the entire 30 minutes and didn’t want to get burned out too early. My shins didn’t hurt nearly as bad as they had during the previous distance workout and the small cramping muscle in my foot ...

You often see these types of deals about Buy now, pay later. Lately it seems like more of them are offering discounts also. I purchased a computer while in college from Best Buy and got 10% off if I used their no interest for 12 month plan. So instead of paying it all up front, I opted for the plan,...

Great, I recently started listening to Podcasts on my way to work. I'd love to add GRS to the mix! Can't wait to listen to something.

I Recently came across a blog about an upcoming documentary on marathon runners. The blog looks great, hopefully the movie is also. Read about http://www.26miles385yards.com/2007/05/23/athlete-the-movie/ and some links to various sites about the documentary.

Great, I've really enjoyed working out and training. My brother-in-law recently started running about 8 miles a day. He keeps talking of this "runners high" he gets. Says it feels great both mentally and physically to accomplish the distances. I hope I get there soon. For me, its still HAR...

I ran 4 miles on Saturday. It was part of my training schedule. It was the first time I ever ran 4 miles consecutively to just run 4 miles. It was a bit tougher than I expected. I made sure I was mentally ready also and constantly reminded myself through my workout that I had to push myself and keep...
