To begin, there are just three major forum topics: personal finance, personal development, and general discussion. In time, others will probably be added. If you have suggestions for which topics to add (now or later), make a note here.

DIY: Do It Yourself
Sometimes DIY projects are about saving money, and sometimes they are just about spending time doing something you enjoy. But whatever the reason for doing it yourself, these projects can be a lot easier if you have the proper resources -- even if those resources are simply links to other forums and informative websites. Sometimes the most daunting thing about a DIY project is not knowing where to get the information you need.
A section dedicated to DIY projects of all kinds would be very useful for the frugal-minded out there...

As you know, I'm against over-specializing in forums. If you feel the need to include DIY, then I would actually add a broader category of Frugality (separate from Personal Finance) and that's where DIY stuff (as well as a lot of other stuff) could go. However, I think you need to let the forums mature before making any decisions. What seems like a great idea today may or may not have an audience. Once you get more activity, the weak spots (if any) will start to become apparent.

I agree, nickel. Adding a sub-category just for DIY would be a little premature at this point. But it surely should not be overlooked if future expansion is needed.
