Hello. I've been reading GRS for a long time and have finally decided to join this forum since there are so many great posts here. First my intro:
Well, I'm 30 and unemployed. Just another of the 14.5 million unemployed people struggling in this recession. I have had the distinct pleasure of serving my country in the Air Force, then of climbing my way to a six figure salary in the corporate world, and finally of receiving the phone call that ended said corporate job. I began writing as a method of coping with my job loss and as a way to use some of my newly acquired free time. The pages kept filling up and I changed my goal and ended up with
$100K to Nothing - Layoff: My journey from a six figure income to the unemployment line in the worst economy of our time, which you can read more about on
it's website or
view on Amazon.
Now for the other project I am requesting your help on:
In addition to my newly published book, I have started
http://www.laidoffintheusa.com to continue to share my stories and comment on progress made and lost related to unemployment. I am looking for others who have been laid off to share their stories. Unfortunately, I cannot pay for these stories at this time as I have no money to spare. I can, however, link to your website. If you have a story you'd like to share about your layoff, please email me at dan{at}laidoffintheusa{dot}com. Send a short summary, then I'll interview you via email. Thanks.
