I stumbled onto this website a couple of months ago, and decided to start posting. Live in the DC area, married, 3 grown children, two are still at home.

We have tons of debt, but are currently working to pay it off. Well, let me rephrase that, I am focusing on paying it off, as I handle the family finances. My hubby is the spender and I am the saver. Thankfully we have the $1000+ in savings for emergencies and we have 401Ks and one IRA.

Looking forward to learning alot here about finances, retirement, etc.

The first few questions I have are really just for the basics. How old are you and your husband? What do you have for debts? What do you have for savings and retirement accounts? What's your income? What's your home worth and what's your outstanding mortgage? How "grown" are the two children still living at home, and are they old enough to be paying rent?
