Have you ever gotten goosebumps (literally, not metaphorically) from a particular passage of music? I thought this was fairly common, but I mentioned it to my wife and she thought I was crazy. Have you ever been listening to a piece of music and you get a passage that just sounds so amazing and powerful that you just close your eyes and you literally get goosebumps on your arms? Is it just me?

Let's do it.

But we should stop off at the hospital to get him checked out to make sure it is not a medical problem. I hear that is free in Canada. Though we might need to wait a while.

Actually, I have an acquaintance who wrote a song that can raise either goosebumps or hackles on most people (depending on the listener's point of view) when it's heard. His name is Richard Sherman. He wrote the music to this song and his brother wrote the lyrics.

Wait. Kombat, were you referring to Beethoven's Ninth (Ode to Joy) giving you goosebumps? Because, if so, I can understand that.

I'm thinking he was referring to Mr. Sherman's song. He wrote "It's a Small World."

DH, yeah, the classics definitely do it, but to be honest, I get it with some more modern stuff too, like Hans Zimmer or John Williams (they're composers who write a lot of movie scores for stuff like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jaws, Star Wars, that sort of stuff).
