Are You Shopping?

Asides from the fact I don't celebrate any of the "holidays"; I am not shopping at all this "season". Have you done some major "damage" shopping from these purportedly massive sales?

No. I'm not much of a shopper. I'll find what I want online & then go to the store & get get it. Done.

I usually spend about 600 dollars on Christmas. I'm almost done shopping and have about 3 more gifts to buy.

I also usually buy stuff for myself too because the deals can be fantastic at this time of year, and this is a good time to buy things I've put off all year.

I do, but months before. I will finish up my shopping the weekend after thanksgiving, and this is only for minor things that people won't be pushing over to get (this year I got an external for my girlfriend because hard drives are going up in price due to shortages and it was a really good deal.)

But giving gifts is my big weakness. I will spend just about nothing on myself throughout the year, but come gift time, I treat my lady quite well. I have been working on this over the past couple years, but I still drop a good amount.

But again, I get most my shopping out months in advance (I know, its weird thinking you have all your shopping done in October, but it avoids all the money headaches around the holidays, or at least reduces it to just travel and food.)

We did do a bit of shopping. BUT, no credit cards. :) We had a sum of money that we receive in November. We used it to pay off my student loan, make some home improvements, sponsored a family for Christmas and then spent the rest mostly on our kids. :) Our kids have special needs and special diets and the things we need are expensive.

I like shopping, but I do not shop much because I frankly like to enjoy my holidays visiting some places of attraction or hanging out with friends to have fun, so I only shop when I need to go for it.
