Tell me how great this feels

Tell me your vacation and holiday season is more enjoyable now. Way to go. My husband says you are ready to marathon if you've got this kind of discipline. (He's an elite marathon runner who knows what he's talking about. )

Funny, we actually started training for a marathon in Jan./Feb. of this year but we didn't stick with it. I would like to try again in 2009.

Yes we are enjoying the last few weeks of the year! We still are sticking to our holiday/Christmas budget but I've spent a bit more on clothes for me (yay) since there are some super sales out there and Mr. Sam actually spent some money on himself too. We'll also spend some time thinking and planning our 2009 yearly budget and money goals.

Happy New Year! I've been not thinking about money for the past three weeks or so which was quite refreshing. But, I'm going to get my act together this week and plan to post a wrap up for 2008 and Mr. Sam and I need to figure out our 2009 goals.

So far we plan to:
(1) Max out our 2009 IRAs - $10,000
(2) Add another chunk to our E/R Fund - $10,000
(3) Add another chunk to our Baby Fund - $10,000

And max out our 401ks - $33,000
