2008 Goals:

Max out Roth IRA: $5,000K done
Max out 401K: $15,500 on course
Max out HSA: $2,900 on course
Start ETF direct deposit with Vanguard: $3000: Needs work!

Build another $35,000 in savings for Business by middle Q2: $25K (plus 5K personal) out of $35K done.
Push First product (in new business) out the door (and hopefully make a profit!!) slow but steady

All of this was halted in March till I get new business running smoothly.
Update: May, trying to get some of these done.

Misc Investments $3000/year: Keep cash on hand for any good investments that might come up Needs work!


Take "variable spending" (include food, gas and entertainment) to under $750 a month. May Lower then April,March

Learn to garden on course: have first plants in already!
Update: Lots of planets killed by hail storm :(
Learn to trade currencies better!
Find out if Peer to Peer Loans are worth it. on course
Update: out of 4 loans, 1 has already failed to pass.
Build out old computers as family gifts: 2 out of 4 done
Buy commonly used supplies/food in bulk to save money: on course. Have costco account, Amex account (1% on all costco purchases) and bought a lot of common staples.

Research cost of new energy savings windows (to see if cost is worth it): Needs work!
(the windows in my house are junk, they don't keep out cold in winter or heat in summer).

Try Credit Card Trick: on course

Research taking in girlfriend and room mate to collect rent and help with utils.Needs work!
(don't know if I want to do this, seems like more trouble then it's worth)

websites: make $300 from ads this year. $106.75 out of $300

Max out all my employer tuition reimbursements (on college classes): 1 out of 5: second class in the works :(

Get 1 doctor physical, 2 dentist appointments and 1 eye check up to take advantage of insurance. 1 doctor, 1/2 dentist, 0/1 eyes

Research taking some more consulting/side jobs? Needs work!
(don't know if I'll have time for this).

Switch everything over to Salem Five account. Moved a few accounts over, need more

In short, starting second class at school, have 4 direct stock purchase programs going now, have new checking account with interest :) and a 2 CDs.
