I am interested in Africa(Nigeria, South Africa) to be honest and a few of them are English speaking in the business sense.

Considering the number of South Africans emigrating to Australia to get away from the issues they're having in regards to safety, I'd recommend a careful consideration of that decision before making it a solid choice.

Speaking of, just found out how much I am worth as an employee in the private sector and it is just about double what I am making now maybe a little bit less.

That one doesn't surprise me, most private sector jobs pay better than their government equivalent in my experience.

No sign of life from the boss. Didn't say a word, this is what I was afraid of.

I am living in a world of little to no sense of direction.

No better options for the moment. It's kind of like confidently walking and not being able to see AT ALL.

Worst of all no respect from colleagues, no other options but to plow ahead with this as best as I can.

Still not going to get a raise for all of the work I've done completely beyond my scope of work.

It's all an enriching experience, right? :^)

The plan is to shut up, keep my nose to the grind.

I am not at my best.

Sometimes writing coherently doesn't cut it the way banging on the keyboard does:

oiujhfdohjfjfjfpoidsajvl;dsjgfo9phjepiuj[fkjzdoljvkcvlcm lkvbiphjnvikejrgvoperjg;o;gjergvpouhjdijfzdfjikjdrgfvijngklvf

Do you understand now? I was told there's going to be a meeting. In this meeting, we are told we will be acting in the role of a BA.

Keep in mind I have been doing all the prep work already, it's just a matter formality I thought I would be the BA for everything but I am not.

I have to fight tooth and nail for an opportunity others wait for it to fall into their lap.

Its going to someone that doesn't even want the responsibility; this is what IRKS ME. If I speak up and say I'll do all of it, I'm afraid of looking like the jerk. I'd like to finish it since I started it.

IRS says I owe $2600.00, gotta figure that out soon. Payment plan is my only option.

Rent went up by $40 per month for the lease renewal

Need to get some things done to my car brand new tires and the remaining engine mounts.

I can deal with all of this stuff, just hate speed bumps.

Couldn't agree to terms, going to court...I won't say what the terms were but it was insulting.

The judge can decide however he feels. Kind of like throwing grafitti in the air and expect to catch all of that in your hand before it hits the ground.

As long as you're learning from your mistakes, that's what is important.
You go to court, and deal with what the judge says. You're good at fighting adversity, so just keep your chin up.

As far as work goes, yes, just keep your nose to the grindstone. You'll be out of there sooner than you think, so keep on chugging along and remember that you're better than all those people and have bigger plans ahead.

Someone on my project got a raise, same position and skill sets....20% raise.

I didn't receive not one red cent.

Anger is the best motivation right? I am not sure what anger is the only emotion I feel.

I briefly worked in the public sector and when I read your journal, it brings back a lot of the experiences and feelings I had while I was there. It can really get to your self-esteem after a while.

I had an offer to jump back to the private sector and it's so much better for me. More money, more responsibility, and working with people who push me to excel. Maybe you can use some of the confidence you're getting from weightlifting to help you make a plan for getting out of there? :)

Why do you think they got a raise while you did not?

You got it in a nutshell....I have to finish this project before I can jump ship.
I was so mad and hurt when I found out; I knew it was coming. I just didn't think it would sting as much. I really only thrive when I am challenged.
Thank you

Kombat because he has connections and I don't. His friend is a top executive.

Fantasma - re: tax prep places.

You are almost always better off doing your own than going to one of them. If you have an individual that you trust to do your taxes, that works. But those places hire people with minimal training and make ALOT of mistakes because they are not ever held liable.

I pay for a CPA I have an ongoing business relationship with to do mine, because I have some complicated items like stock options, restricted equity grants, self employment income, and p2p lending income. Before mine got that complicated, I just did them myself.

I know right now it doesn't feel like it - but things will get better. You've got a plan and supporters who will reassure you that you deserve better. It's amazing how much bad luck can be overcome by sheer determination. Just know that everyone here believes that you can get through these trials and come out happy.
