floppel, did they test you with just a chemical sample, or with the actual food? My allergist always has me bring in an actual sample of the food, which eh mashes up with a bit of water and makes a paste with. I tested negative on the corn chemical sample, but when he tested me with actual live corn, I reacted. This is important because processing often kills the proteins, so a sample that is not live might not cause a reaction. For example, with oral allergy syndrome, which is the fruit problem I have, I can eat any of them in cooked form, but not in raw form. My doctor said they should always test you on suspected foods with an actual real sample of it.
