40K paid off in 15 months! never thought it was going to end! lol, but I paid my wife's toyota camery off two days ago to the tune of $8350. It hurt to see that money go, but everything I make from now on is all mine to keep and invest. Next step: save a six month emergency fund and house.
I noticed at the beginning I was only able to save(cut debt) 1500 per month, but now I am able to save like 3000 per month. Four times a year, my wife and I can save like 4000, because of double pay months. It took a lot of fine tuning to get it up that high, but it is easy now. It seems like when you manage your money you start finding it everywhere, and it finds you. I just got a promotion with more pay, and I still live the same. It's great!!! more money for me.
WHAT I REALLY LEARNED FROM THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS THAT FINANCIAL SECURITY IS SO MORE IMPORTANT THAN THINGS.
