our only debt is now deferred, subsidized student loans! (my husband and i are both still in school.)
we paid off our credit card balance this week. we had been carrying a balance for almost a year now, and we're so relieved to get that off our backs. (we're not normally credit card balance-carriers, either, so this bothered us.) the balance was a combination of medical expenses we couldn't afford, prescriptions, car parts for the car we just sold, and of course some general living-outside-of-means issues while we adjusted to living on much less money.
this is the first time in our history together that we have not had some kind of consumer debt hanging over our heads.
all our needs are met, and everything we own is paid for. talk about a reason to be thankful!
