 Post subject: Credit Card Debt Paid Off Today

Hello Friends!

Just wanted to let the world to know that we just paid off the remainder of our consumer debt! Yeah!

We had roughly 7000 euros (ca. USD 10 000) in credit card debt. It was mainly accumulated when my wife stayed at home with our second child and we bought a bigger home.

We have both always been pretty reckless with our finances, but last year we started getting our act together. It took us just a bit over a year to pay off the debt. I'm really happy with our progress, since our income isn't very big (both working in the public sector). However, we did it! On top of that we also have saved a 2000 euro (USD 2900) emergency fund.

Now it's time to celebrate the success, and then keep up the work.
