Switched to Verizon today. Coverage with old carrier not making boss or mother happy. Confucious say unwise to tick off both at same time! My old phone was not compatible with Verizon's network so had to get new one. Ever so tempted to get new, shiny HTC Incredible for $150, but reminded myself that was $150 less to pay down debt. Went with free Motorola Droid instead. Would not have been able to resist temptation a year ago. Would have plunked down the extra cash immediately and probably on a credit card.
New service will be an extra $8 a month, but I more than offset the cost by chopping $16 out of the budget by finding cheaper hair cuts.
PS. Haven't touched a credit card in almost a year. In the last six months, cut almost $150 of fat out of the monthly budget, built depleted savings up to $1500, and paid off about $5000 in cc debt. Feels good to say it "out loud".
