Personal Finances - A software, a hobby and GetRich Slowly

Postby hugo » Thu Jan 13, 2011 5:04 am

Hello everybody,

For some time I have been managing my money in my head, using the monthly bank statement but decided to go further and start making a truly management of my money and when I went looking for a web application that was free and with the option to be multilingual (with my language that is portuguese), but it was focused to a simplified home user, I was surprised that with so many applications all over the web, I didnt found one that met the specific requirements that I wanted and so I decided to start developing one that met my own needs and was so beginning in September 2010 the development of this application.

Now the first version is complete and have now several active users.

You can access the application here: http://hugo.myetrayz.net/personalfinances

You are free to see the application with the user demo and password or register for have your own account.

With the growing number of users and the need to briefly extend the spectrum of Personal Finances, I registered the domain softbycloud.com

From now you can access the application via the new address: http://www.personalfinances.softbycloud.com

It is still available my new homepage on the main domain.

Ok.

Meanwhile I release the 2.0 version with the following features:

Possibility of choice of the theme (one of four available) on the application from the user screen
Removed the questions and answers screen
Added new screen "Follow us on social networks" with two navigation options for this forum and the official Facebook page
Possibility of selection and elimination of multiple records on the grids of the cash flows and user categories
New export option of the cash flows in CSV format (which can be edited in Excel, OpenOffice Calc, Notepad, ...), and that the exported file can serve as a template for importing data
New export option of the system and user categories to serve to inform the user of the keys of the categories that can be used for the import of cash flows
New import option of cash flows filled with validation date, validation of date format, validation of the categories and amount of validation
Introduction of cash flows wizard by clicking on the button to enter new movement
Redesigned layout grids

And in a few days I will release the version 2.1 with the feedback from the users from the 2.0 version.

Smartphones and tablets are increasingly present in our daily lives. It is estimated that at the time each day to activate all over the world 500,000 new mobile devices with the Android system.

Thus, a version was developed specifically to think about the user that requires mobility and do not always have Internet access but without losing any of the features available on the web version and within a present of a 3G connection or in a WiFi area, just one click and all data will be synchronized.

Version for Google Android (smartphones and tablets): https://market.android.com/details?id=a ... alfinances

This is great! I think it was about time that someone developed an easy and understandable way on how to manage finances.
