Heard a tip from a friend. Next time you have a repair or remodel, try out Habitat Restore. It's a hardware recycling place that has new and used building materials. Often times brand new... donated by contractors for write offs. Much cheaper than buying new, and good for the environment!

Next I found a local computer recycling place. Locally, mine is called CompRenew. Great for used computer parts. Not sure the best way to find used computer components nationally, but saved me 75 bucks on parts!
