Personal finance app based on the Balanced Money Formula

Postby ayitiere » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:18 pm

Hello everyone,

Do you use the Balanced Money Formula to manage your finances?

For years, I have managed my money using different budgeting schemes. I’ve read countless personal finance books and articles over the years, including many on GRS. But while many helped in some way, it wasn’t until I read All Your Worth: The Ultimate Lifetime Money Plan that it all started to come together. Since 2005, I have used the Balanced Money Formula as a guideline to get and keep my finances in “balance”, while no longer having to focus so heavily on every detail of my budget all the time.

After getting an iPhone a few years ago, I found a need to have my BMF-based Excel file with me on-the-go to makes changes as needed and ensure I was still within the % targets. Since I didn’t find anything out there like that, I decided to develop my own.

I recently released MoneyWYN for the iPhone, an app based on the Balanced Money Formula. You input your Income, Needs (or Must-Haves), Wants, and Savings, and the app will let you know if you’re spending within those targets.

I have more upcoming features planned for this app. If you’ve budgeted using the BMF and have an iPhone, check out this app on iTunes here: http://goo.gl/B3Ajv

Moneywyn is a helpful personal finance app, I have read people's reviews and it is also rated 4+ in itunes. Can anyone help me to find more screenshots of app so I can get insight into the app?

Currently I am using Pocket Expense. It is also working fine in my device.
