Interesting article. I didn't know they paid taxes and used "some" modern things from time to time.

It depends on whether you are talking about the old order or new order Amish. I remember when I took a Sociology class, that was an area was covered. We even went on a field trip to an area where the Amish live and visited both the old order and the new order.
