I play soccer - it costs $350 for the season registration. In a preseason match I sprained my ankle, which cost me about $250 in physio visits, bus tickets, strapping tape, etc, and made me miss the first 10 weeks. So now I've got 10 weeks left, averaging 4 hours training, 2 hours matches, which is 60 hours altogether for $600, or $10/hour. But the club provides the majority of my social life, so I spend much more time each week going out with people I know from the club, watching friends games, etc. (although that costs more money in drinks!). For me this is pretty much a non-negotiable cost, and most seasons of course it's much cheaper per hour.
