Comparing Credit Unions

Postby limitproof » Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:45 pm

I am a member of both the United Nations Federal Credit Union and Navy Federal Credit Union. I have my money primarily in UNFCU. But wonder whether one credit union is better than the other.

Any resources to compare or experiences with either?

It really depends on what services you need and what's convenient for you. If you've got loans through them, which ones have better rates? If you have demand deposit and CDs, which one's got better rates? ATMs? Tellers?

My family and I have been members of NFCU for ages, and none of us have ever had a problem with them. Great rates, great service, free ATMs. My dad gives everyone memberships for graduations, birthdays, etc.. I don't think you can go wrong with NFCU.
