2013 Roth IRA

Postby dalekeener » Thu Jan 17, 2013 9:55 am

Hello! Will be maxing out my Roth IRA (6k), I am 52 years old. Will not need the money for 15-20 years and was looking for recomendations on how to invest it. I want either 1 or at most two funds/ etf's to put it in and just sort of forget about it for several years. Any suggestions?

Dale

Yould always go the easy route look for a target date fund like 2025 or which ever date you choose put money that and leave it alone.
Be what you want to attract.

The max contribution for 2013 is only $5,500. If you didn't max it out in 2012, you can still make a 2012 contribution up to April 15th.

If you want to put it in one or two ETFs and never deal with it, seems like you're an ideal candidate for a target date fund.
