Does anyone else make their own milk at home to save money?

Postby Mario » Thu Mar 28, 2013 3:49 pm

I just started last week, but it's definitely something I'll stick to. My whole write-up is here:

But suffice to say that soaking my own almonds and adding a few key spices -- vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup -- makes for some pretty great Almond milk to go with the breakfast cereal...

It's totally one of those homemade things that I would have guessed would take a prohibitive amount of time but really doesn't at all. And now, I pay $.15 a cup! That's about half what I was paying even when I was buying in bulk

I make my own chocolate milk when I mix my Cocoa Puffs with white milk.

If I could do that to save money and pay down debt, don't doubt for a second that I would.

If is in a situation to choose between breast milk and formula, making one's own breast milk is in fact significantly cheaper. Therefore "it's funny because it's true."
