Hi everyone,

I've created a simple spending tracker called Budg for myself and a few friends. Budg is a mobile web app that lets you track your spending and set up monthly, weekly or one-time budgets. I'm trying to add features to it bit by bit in my spare time. I would love to get the app polished enough that I could make a business out of it, but right now I'm just in the discovery phase.

I really want to know what kind of features you might want in a mobile spending tracker app. Obviously, first and foremost you need to be able to create categories and log purchases as quickly as possible. However, I'd love to explore what else this app could do to save people money. If you have ideas, please share them in this thread!

You say app, which infers a smart phone, yet you've not said which operating system. Is it iOS, or the more popular Android operating system?

It's a web app, so it works on all smartphones. I will eventually make native Android and iOS versions, but while I'm still discovering what this app needs to do I want to be able to change things as quickly as possible.
