Wow, have been reading through the many topics & this forum looks great. Just wanted to pick your brains on any Self Help Courses that are available online (living in New Zealand it's a bit far to attend many Courses!). I've only done one so far & that was 'Busting Loose From the Money Game' by Bob (Robert) Scheinfeld which was brilliant, but a bit over my head.

I'm after a Self Help Course that not only deals with how to be financially free, but also infiltrates every other aspect of my life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Petra

If what you want is something to help change your views on personal finance and your own perception of status symbols, you might enjoy 'The Millionaire Next Door.' Granted, it is not a self-help book, but it is rich with information on the PF decisions from those who 'made it.'

I'll third that recommendation. I've got a copy, and it's a real eye-opener.

Never Eat Alone & The 4-Hour Work Week are two books that really changed my perception of social interactions and the value of work.

And of course, Your Money or Your Life is a real life changer! :)

Thanks for sharing your posts guys. I have attended many personal development courses by which I could change my attitude. I feel everyone has a very powerful mind that can make anything happen, as long as you keep yourself centered. One must be positive all the time and take advantage of opportunities that supports your personal development.

I've taken a couple of the ivillage on line courses. Its free to sign up and the courses are free too. I took one on budgeting/personal finance and I thought the set up (readings, assingments, homework) was good. The information was a bit too basic for me but would be excellent for someone just trying to get control of their finances. Ivillage is geared towards women but I found the budgeting course appropriate for either gender.

Look up Steve Pavlina. He has what must be the biggest personal development website on the web and has a broad range of topics.

Your Money or Your Life is a great book to challenge how you think about personal finances. There is also an online program for those interested in following the book to its nex steps.
