- 15k of emergency savings by end of year
- at least 10% of income going into 401k
- 5k into roth ira for 2009
- go through the year without having to buy a new car (my car is getting up there in mileage and i want to keep it maintained as long as possible)
- find other streams of income besides 9 to 5

non-personal finance goals

- travel outside the US (ideas.. philippines, japan, australia, italy, dubai, brazil, china, canada)
- stay consistent with my workout regimen for the whole year
