Post Howdy Folks Reply with quote
Hi everyone, I'm SB. I'm 25, active duty Air Force, married to another Air Force member, and we have 13-month old twins - boy & girl. We have lived in (assigned to) Alaska for the past 6 years with our 2 cats and now our 2 kids and LOVE IT!!! I found this site a couple of weeks ago via several link clicks from a USAA article. Ever since, I've been absorbed in reading all the wonderful articles here. I've checked out and enjoyed other finance blogs and advice sites, but so far this one is my favorite. I joined the forum here to ask a specific question, but don't want to clutter up the intro thread with it. So howdy folks, and I look forward to chattin on these forums with you all.

Post Hello Everyone! Reply with quote
Hello to the GRS Community!

I've been a closet reader of this site for a while. I' haven't really been active as far as commenting or in the forums, but I hope to change that. I just want to say that I love this community and have found it to be very inspiring. Not only are the articles great, but I love reading other people's feedback and comments--in fact, I think that's my favorite part of the site. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and looking forward to interacting with all of you soon in the future. Very Happy

Post MalPF - 21st century finance concepts Reply with quote
Hi, I am Michael Tsen. I write about some finance concepts that I couldn't find else where.

One of the things I find traditional type of personal finance is that it requires too much discipline and perhaps that is why most people still can't really make it to financial freedom yet. I promote simpler ways to achieve finance goals by incorporating certain psychological or NLP effect.

but I find myself facing big challenges getting some messages across .... Smile

advices, suggestions and feedback welcome on

Post Hi, long time reader now delving into the blogosphere Reply with quote
I have been reading gts, the simple dollar, etc. for a long time. I have a few ideas of my own and am trying to give back to the community. I started a blog www.thriftyapp.com posting the websites, apps, and products that save you money by anything from comparison shopping for utility bills to car swapping. I have spent a lot of time researching where to get the best cable plan, for example, only to find out that there was a website that would do just that for me.

Hi there, everybody. My name is Kris, I've been a GRS fan for several years. Reading JD's blog taught me a ton about personal finance, and helped me knock out both my college and grad school loans. My fiance has followed suit, and we've both been entirely debt-free for over a year. (Woo hoo!)

I recently lost my job and figured that was a good cue to join the forums. Nice to meet y'all!

Hi, everybody!

Name is Yoree. I am Canadian, so no "aboot" jokes please Smile I'm 29 yo from Okanagan area.

Anyways, always been a big fan of frugal lifestyle. Bought my own business with my savings couple years ago, and right now saving for a downpayment on the house. My wife is the same way, we're both hardworking frugal individuals with big dreams and hungry stomachs.
