Thought I'd introduce myself as I am new to the site/forum. My name is Chuck and I have been teaching 7th grade Texas History for 7 years now. I just submitted my resignation letter as my wife and I have opened a business that I will be running full time when the school year ends. As I leave education, I am looking at my TRS which is almost 1/3 the value of my wife's who has been with her employer for 4 years. I am currently looking for a place to put my TRS and hope it can start to grow. As I am going into self employment, I hope to utilize the site and forum to help me stay financially conscious and forward thinking.
